In memory....

November 22, 2017 is a day that will live on in my life forever, just not as a date. It was the day that INXS's singer, Michael Hutchence passed. I was so shook and really could not believe. I never thought his death would affect, since, he was never my favourite! It is twenty years later a day after his birthday, and it does get easier with every year. It took a long time until I could watch video or interview segments without crying. But, with time it is better.

I guess you can tell which one of the brothers I like best!! I honestly like both - but, and partial to Tim. I dunno, maybe its because he like seafood {I love the stuff - could live on it}! But, Jon looks more like Tim as he gets older..... the top pic is Tim younger.... well, you get the picture!

I was 17 when this aired.....and now almost 20 years later, still love them. You might ask me what got me started on this 'kick'?? Well, I was looking around Youtube and found out that JD {the nut from Switch was out} and a new fresh breath of air was in -- Ciaran Gribbon.
Yes!!! It's like time stood still forever since Hutch left us, and no, the band can continue forward.
In other news, I have been doing admin for the past three days. I spent 2 hours editing DE's website {just one page}.
I will write much more over the weekend... promise!! Well, another post is coming just pics!! Love pics.

The misfortunes of a "professsional" singer!

I thought I'd take a short break from dance, my life and write about something I read two days ago. When INXS were searching for their replacement after Hutch's suicide in 1997 they picked JD. Still to this day, I CANNOT understand why Tim {anyone knew that Tim ran the band during rockstar} and the boys picked this singer. While on tour in Australia with Simple Minds, JD was having problems with his moniter and it got wrapped up in his belt--long story short, he undid his pants and the crew had to come onstage and re-dress him! the band just looked on in amazement.

The band did a one album - one tour contract. That means one term only. All of the contestants knew of this--it was even in the press.

When the tour ended in December of 2007, JD stated that INXS left him at the Hong Kong airport. Now, he's set to release his solo album {2009}. It is also worth mentioning that he is back living out of his car and/or crashing on people's couch's. How is he releasing an album them? You can do both. Either you are poor and broke OR you are releasing an album--you cannot do both.
As for the band they are in the studio working on new material. Chris Murphy, the manger, during the Kick success has been brought back into the fold--just before the JD drama. He did apologize and stated cocain usage was responsible for his actions. Perhaps, that is WHY HE WAS let go as well. No one wants a singer on cocaine.

My take on this: He is pissed that he feels he did a good job {and from the footage--he did} but, it was just a one time deal, no more. So, he might feel that his talents weren't used to their full potential. It is also worth mentioning that JD does march to his own beat and is not easy to control. Perhaps, the rest of INXS saw that.

*** I feel it is worth mentioning he is a Virgo {09/01/1973} -- on 3 seperate occasions I have had the displeasure of working with 3 people of the same sign and {1 male and 2 females} all of them felt they were being let go after all of the work they had contributed. It is simple--when you are the boss, it is BUSINESS.
The females will not talk to me---no love loss; but the male is speaking to me right now as we speak.

I know the band {INXS} will survive this drama......they got back up after losing Hutch and did it again! Hats off!!!!
It is worth mentioning I have been a supporter of INXS since 1988!!!

...........perhaps, MiG Ayesa should have been picked--but that is my own opinion--he did make it without any help.....
