October has arrived and news

A nice start to the weekend!!!


Well, a new month has arrived - alot has happened. We did go and live in a hotel and it is so much more positive and all...no "strange" people to be weird {or act for that matter}.
We had a meeting w/ a prospective client for MISA last week and are just awaiting the approval to work {if hired}. Our NY contact set up the meeting--he couldn't go--so, we went instead.
I am also awaiting the outcome of my disability {that will a be a big amount--all of the back pay}. I have heard zero and nothing--I don't know whether I am approved or not. I keep calling the main person in Austin and its always next week, next week..... They have 120 days to discuss the case and guess what day it was when I called? That's right the 120th day. Good Lord!!
Classes have slowed down...now, I have dancers for my Rep Series---a male dancer just emailed me a couple of days ago. Oh yeah, I still get calls/emails for classes and they NEVER SHOW UP! What is with that??

I still am hurting----it hurts to teach/dance after 2 hrs. I guess its because I have inflamantion in my hips-due not having enough $$ to go to the chiropracter for a long time. {Since losing my income last October it is difficult---things are very hard}.
On a more positive note--we might move in with a freind to help her and us finacially. That would be great!

There is alot of news to mention and all of it is very good. I don't have time right now to write as I am still working...but it all has to do w/ dance, rep, classes, MISA, and performing. More later....

Close to the end of the year blog!

Well....it has been 10 days since the last post. Some has happened--some has not. The biggest worry is still present--but not as bad. This worry has been present ever since October. So, with the holidays approaching...its holiday time.

The news that I am supposed to post is this: an old employee of my dad's contacted us and after talking has decided to do some networking for us. In our biz {security} a man is better than a woman. We are also doing some advertising. He said in passing about apartments that offer live on courtesy officers in lieu of monthly rent. So, I slept on it and came to a realization. Why not pitch an idea to apartment communities about live on officers in lieu of rent?? So, we did. It is weird mixing business with looking at apartments. Very foreign!! We visited 2 complexes today and had a good response at one of them. They just opened and are looking to expand out into a 2nd officer. So, we have to bring out an intro letter and speak with the manager Monday.This will help tremendously if we can get a live on in terms of $$$.Mom does most of the talking as I am still learning about how to approach clients. My deal is the office....admin work!

In other news.....I just concluded the last performance of 2009 and for the retirement home. This week I am going to look at some more centers {and bring the portfolio}. I am also working with a young lady in NY who is interested in doing the centers with me.

Really, nothing else to "report"---I am sick of this place and really want to get out of here. It has not been a pleasant place....makes me wish I would have stayed at the first place in Kingwood!!

****Oh, of course, my so called friends have not called once this year to see how I am doing or my mom. They will have a BIG change coming in 2010....a big one!

I had just spent the past couple of hours emailing to/from with an old employee of my dad's. That was a perfect way to end the evening! I will post what the "2nd best event in 2009" is ..... soon. Just sitting here.......

Well, the neighbors have OFFICIALLY moved out! There is a God! I am so happy. HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY!! Whew!

I have been talking with the beau {I guess I really should call him my boyfriend}. He's been fighting some dreadful illness and is going to the doctor to see what the problem is. He was sick in the beginning of this month and still not feeling well. His energy level was close to non-exsistant....and he's feeling just awful. Poor baby. But you know men....won't tell their loves they are feeling like sh*t. He's ex-Army--so that's worse---a suck it up and go on attitude. Well, at least he did tell me he's not feeling too good.

Mom might have a job {sorta like a caretaker/chauffer} as driving a man to work and do errands. She will get to keep the car in her care and he pays the gas, maintence, and everything else. That will be great for us!
UPDATE: She has the job--beginning Monday morn @ 5AM


The man who was interested in buying the biz---is not now....oh, well. Well just have to move another route.

Nothing else really a whole lot going on....Halloween coming around and then my father's anniversary {passing}----it should be better than last time.

Happenings {!!}

Well, here I write! I have been so busy. Still haven't bought anything for myself. I am listening my playlist on this blogger--Bedroom toys! you know what Simon was thinking about when he wrote it--bedroom toys....hmmm.... a Scorpio!! But, it's catchy!!

Busy bee have I been.......meeting this person, going here, paying this, eating here. Get some sleep...get up and repeat. What a life, huh? I figured I have been on a LONG A** vacation--so now, it's time to work. Ha Ha. My aunt is in the hospital---she fractured her shoulder---ouch. She's out of commision for at least 6 months--and Christmas is coming---oh hell!

So, we are waiting for the liscensce to arrive from Austin. The Crown Vic is in the shop---having more work that should have been done before! We talked business yesterday with a neighbor who is actually going to be helping us! Exciting!
I had a job interview this past Friday and was hired then she reniged and did not b/c my choreo did not depict classical ballet---hello--choreo!!!! Oh well, my gain at another place....I have another interview. And, the "new studio" where I supposed to work---well, I told them I was leaving! She did not know when the studio was opening, no enrollment....just a huge mess.
Well, my classes {Dancer...} begin this Wednesday.

Enjoyed my ballroom--but the manager was trying to gauge me on the price and tomorrow is my last class. If you'd tell me the truth and not lie you would have a succesful business and I would not leave....but, oh well, that's the way the cookie crumbles. But, I hate it b/c my teacher is Latin and cute and just so sweet!!!

My beau {ex--I dunno what he is anymore} sent me an email by and invite {u know like facebook has invited u....} to RDC's and my personal email. I guess he is trying to say "I messed up." I am like "really?!" Well...men, what do you say??!!

Recieved my balance of $$ and this is the recap {QUICK}

Okay....I am going to go real quick--so keep up! That's all I can say.

-I got the car--bought+paid for--that's nice...no notes!!!
-I got my ballroom class sceduled for this coming Monday---real nice instructer--he has an accent--his name is Antonio!
-Have not heard from my new "job"
-Will be starting DE classes in two weeks {mine other biz]
-Already running the company---signing paperwork with LaKiaya tomorrow
-Submited fees for MISA to operate legally---close to $3,000.00 + the new car.
-Doing alot website work, printing, advertising via Blogger/Myspace {whew! where's an assistant when you need one??}
WHAT ELSE??
I have not bought any groceries in 3 weeks---eating out everyday and leftovers for the night time. Also, have not bought me anything remotely fun, well, except for ---
candles, 4 tee's, face care {whoo hoo}, 8 CD's, printer {for biz purpose--of course}, and office supplies!
Hopefully, after next wek's MISa meeting and RDC's meeting I CAN and buy some new clothes--I will need biz clothes for working in the office!!!

And...........this Sunday, I am going up to Cleland, Livingston, Lufkin, and a little farther north. I am bringing the camera this time. {In 2007, when we had a lump sum $$$ we went on a rad trip and no camera--but had plenty of $$$$. Any sense to you? Me neither!}

Saturday, LaKiaya, is coming to the audition and going to help me with the repertoire section of teaching it. Before, we have to meet and sign all of the contracts!! More later.....but, I need to go to bed-----rehearsal at 11AM!

In two weeks I'll be in the money

Well, I am sure you have read the previous blog about me getting the rest of the balance from house mortgage. Here's what I am going to do with it!!!
-new office chair
-JAG Season 5/6
-Star Trek: Voyager {last season}
-new business clothes
-2-3 pairs of shoes
-printer/scanner/copier
-second cell phone {upgrade mine and use the old one for the biz}
-movie theatre's to watch movies
-candles {'ll order from my mom}
-shelf system {fingers crossed}
-reams of printer paper!!!!!

Now.......this is after I pay the fees for MISA and get a vehicle. Of course, I could get the $$$ earlier depending on when she gets it. I am getting the hell out of here with this noisy ass neighbors {if they are not moving soon--I am switching apartments--no joke}!!!!!! Then to eat out and shop for two weeks straight--somewhere, in all of that I have to go to the studio to prepare choreography.

Great, great news!!! {HAPPY HAPPY, JOY JOY}

This morn I recieved news that I will be recieving the remainder of the balance for my mortgage in August or before!!! It is a drop in the bucket -- but a couple of thousand will really help {say estimated $14,000.00 give or take}.

WOW! And I was wondering what was going to happen and my friend who has a 6th sense said around Aug/Sept and October things will pick up and improve.

Plus, my mom has just begun selling candles and she has a party next Wed. So, guess who gets to clean?? And, I got to begin planning classes for DE for the Fall.

The first "pricetag"---a vehicle - would like a Dodge Dakota....but we'll see!!

Falling behind, injuries {!!}, dance/teaching

Hello.... and hello to Dr. Taylor!! Would love to be in that bed beside him. Just talking about the music biz...nothing else--promise!!

Okay back to reality!!! A girl CAN dream!! Well, we haven't heard from the financial backer since speaking on Friday night. We have both emailed her and all---no response. Her nephew {the young man} is no longer responsible for the funding--so, it is not his problem.

So.......no news....I just hope she pays the fees before they go up even more. I have done plenty of emailing/calling--so, I will send one last email and if no answer we will tell the young man that due to the falling behind, we no longer want to move forward. Don't want to do it--but, what else do you do??

My neck is acting up again....like that's something new. I guess its going to be my new stress indicator!

Tomorrow, I am getting my last of June's mortgage...then to the store. I also have to begin on working on the schedule, registration, and enrollment forms.

So much work...so little time!

MISA, Sunday's outing, and other "stuff"

The weekend is over and done with.... FINALLY!!!!! Whew! Friday morning we had a call for a meeting that we attended that night and it was successful. The company's licsense, late fees, insurance, and Crown Vic are all going to be paid/bought this week. Our new employee is going up towards Corsicana to by supplies and is going to look at some Ford Crown vics...and as he says it-- "look at the cars, drop a check, and have my neice drive it back!" He moves like last month.

So, we will have a business!! But it won't be the same!

Today's outing was eventful.....
We ate at Fu's Garden {chinese}, and had a McFlurry later on, drove out to Jersey Village, and just browsed. Later, watched L&O:CI--very good eppy!! We watched Valkyerie {oops! spelling}--very, very good movie. I would recommend it to all who are movie buffs.



And............in keeping with tradition.....

Remember the previous post {below}? I wondered why I didn't feel good about it after meeting. It was a sham or a ploy to get us to part with the name and basically, lose the name. He doesn't know that we are not going forward...but I really hope he reads this and sees what I have to say about him. I was a victim of online abuse and know all too well how much harm it can do....ou shouldn't have try and f*ck with me. It is not over with as he will never work in this state because no one will trust him.

I am leaving up the MISA blog to show the deception in print for everyone to see along with his full name and mailing address....and possibly his phone number.

Moment of zen Part II

Onward...the meeting with the young man did not go very well--and he is now kicked to the curb.
Tomorrrow we have a meeting with an old friend--well, he used to work for my dad in the early 90's. He is taking the manager's test for this new company to operate legally--but it is his third time. So, my mom does HAVE a manager's card to run a business---if he doesn't pass the test this time, she is offering the owner a deal. In order for him to bring in profit, he can use her as a manager and let the freind run the operation of the business....all she would do is come in and train our friend and sit at home and draw a paycheck. what away to make $$$$. When enough start up capital is gatehred we can begin MISA {short for the longass name my dad came up with--thnx alot!!}.
OR.....possibly this owner can loan her a lump sum and have it paid back with interst and all of theat good stuff! But, I would think he would want to begin making profit--because this is his third or fourth branc of one business.
Onward, I have been gathering research for a reading. Also, I re-created my geocities site {for fan usage} to Mr. Plant. Who else did you think it was going to be??!!

Tidbits Part 5--reflection and my undertakings

I figured I’d would continue on with my series, Tidbits. Since its inception in February of 2009, I have received comments and numerous emails to not stop, but continue on. More of the personal, heartfelt motions were sent via email and in person.

This morning a fellow friend alerted me to the fact that someone I was writing about has released a “series”. He laughed so hard, I asked him if he needed to start smoking again! He did ask me if it made me upset. I said, “Why would it?” He started laughing again and said copycat*.

*somebody who imitates others: somebody, especially a child, who slavishly imitates another {taken from the MS Word dictionary}

Going onward, like I said to him, “It doesn’t upset me in any way. I am the originator of it {just like many other things}. I’ll tell you WHAT does upset me….that bullsh*t with JD and the crap he told the press about people who never told him any different. These people’s bull makes me laugh so hard I might need a smoke!”

So, while I have many comments/emails from friends, I have decided to continue on with it. In an email I got two weeks ago-- “…so what if these people have to have a say in what you are writing…it is their words. It has been over two years and NOTHING has been done {if you are to blame}. Basically, to make anything happen you have to have MONEY, and they are broke. Money talks, bullsh*t walks. You have nothing to worry about…you have money to live on and don‘t dance/teach to earn it! Period.”

I still have not found the OIS {online insane aslyum}! Still searching…though…

Of course, in the midst of writing this caper, I have to tend to my new choreographies. I need to pick a fourth Led Zep song and start Stairway to Heaven.

Second, I am jointly working on our business, Marshall Investigation & Security Agency. We have our third person---the missing ingredient was missing in 2008. That will take a lot work…..but we all three are hard workers. When it is running it will be lucrative {not like a dance business--small biz--and they are suffering}. I will be put back into my old position, co-owner---meaning I do the accounts payable, billing, hiring, and portions of scheduling/payroll/dealing with clients {usually when they are new}.

Thirdly, maybe begin my company--RDC, with male dancers and work new choreo {see above}. I will have to make sure the biz is going well to make the company happen, because of the economy funding is hard to come by. But the goal is to have dancers {of course}, pay scale of $120 for 3 rehearsals per week, perform pay--?? {I dunno yet}; and all of that other stuff.
Then there is the business side…….payroll, 10-99’s, scheduling rehearsals, taxing the concert tickets {b/c you are re-selling dance---ask a CPA}, and most IMPORTANT ORDEAL---make sure your business breaks even/over {showing a profit or a P&L statement}…..because if you DO NOT you are not considered a business according to a Certified Public Accountant. I learned this the hard way. So, in hindsight, in 2006 {when I got screwed} I wasn’t really a business---I lost no money! According to my CPA.

So, if you want to start a dance company good luck in this economy! Well, anyways……
In continuing with tradition……

….then there was the first two weeks, which I spent on the phone or on instant messenger with my friends back home, crying because I hated the company I was in….

Would you like to know the reason she gave for resigning, because the aforementioned is not an excuse…..so, she made up something fictitious. I’ll give it tomorrow.
