NEW - I Found U.... Then The Ball Dropped

So a new piece of poetry...off the top of my head.
About a man who ---well, just read it!

----------------------

I Found U.... Then The Ball Dropped

So, I finally found you after so many years of our 'conversation"
18 years to be exact
I could not believe I found you
I was happy, but, skeptical
Happy, just happy
Time went on and I could see that it was hard to keep a conversation flowing
But, I was still happy
Because I found you
You gave me a vague answer when I asked if you had a girlfriend
I begun to doubt
You made sweet comments almost bordering on more than friends
Then.......

The ball dropped and my fears and red flags came up
You 'simple -y mind ed' not to reply to a sweet message
You don't know me and apparently I don't know you

"Am I Asleep" - poetry

 "Am I Asleep"

I was not looking
Yet I found
A proper, sensitive person
I wonder am I still asleep

It must not be real, just a dream
But, I am awake when we talk
Still cannot not be real
Sleeping, am I still?

Waiting for that mystery to unfold
The one that replays every time
The one every man brings as his luggage
I end up wishing I never woke up

Yet, I was not looking
It happened by accident
A man who is such a gentleman; not ugly in behaviour
I wonder am I still asleep

.......Yet, I am awake

Something I re-discovered {or someone}!

Well, I have been watching Youtube and videos  {live} of Paul Young. I first heard his music in 1985 - I believe, and that song... "Everytime You Go Away"!! Love that song...still!!

Well, he has aged and well, I might add! He is 65, I think and looks very youthful...A trait of Capricorn.

I still remember when I was around 19, I bought the cassette of his...The Singles...From Time to Time
Somehow, I switched stereo's from mine to my dad's- as his was more powerful. I put the tape in and the next song was "Senza Una Donna". Never heard that song before and loved it immediately -- LOVED the song!!!! Still do....

The in November 1992, on the Freddie Mercury Tribute he sung "Radio Ga Ga". He looked so happy and so cute, too! I thought it was his song!
At one time, I bought a turntable w/ a cassette tape deck + The Secret of Association. I was cleaning my room and I had left the LP playing and I came back in and Everytime You Go Away was playing.

Of course I recall "Oh Girl"...love that one...

The YEARS WENT BY and nothing....until I was on Amazon adding music and guess what? There it was, From Time to Time!!! My late teens/early 20's all over!!
So, I had been watching his live performances and I fell in love with this particular song...."Slipped, Tripped, and Fell in Love".

Here is the Amazon link to the song ---

In memory....

November 22, 2017 is a day that will live on in my life forever, just not as a date. It was the day that INXS's singer, Michael Hutchence passed. I was so shook and really could not believe. I never thought his death would affect, since, he was never my favourite! It is twenty years later a day after his birthday, and it does get easier with every year. It took a long time until I could watch video or interview segments without crying. But, with time it is better.
